Goodwill

United Cerebral Palsy of the Golden Gate

UCP is a wonderful charity and they also accept donations. They will send a truck to you on the day you select, and can even gather items curbside from your location, even if you are not home. All for free.

Community Thrift Store

With Community Thrift Store, you get to choose the local charity that benefits from your donations. Your items go to the store, and when they sell, your charity of choice gets the proceeds.

Donation Town is a larger directory of companies that offer free donation pick ups in your area. Once you visit the website, you can enter your zip code, and find local companies that will pick up. Urban Ore is a full service donation & recycling center that accepts drop off donations and will pick up from your home or business. They are for profit so you won't receive a tax donation BUT they do purchase goods, so you can get some money back on your nice items. They accept a wide variety of items including electronics, furniture, clothing, building materials, art, and even more!
